If I had an unlimited travel budget, I would simply spend a few weeks on a cruise ship and escape the world.

Ocean views, matcha, morning yoga, working on the things I’m passionate about that remind me I’m still me… a person outside of my kids and marriage.

I’d enjoy being taken care of. Having someone serve me, take my dishes, and wash them (because no one remembers to throw their plate in the dishwasher after I clean the sink 😆), and relaxing on my balcony to escape a day of “mom, mom, mom.”

Don’t get me wrong… I love my kids. But sometimes mom needs a day without signing another report card or my daughter thinking it’s essential to interrupt a work call like there’s a fire just to show me a handstand.

Seriously though, both can be true. I love my kids. And I know these memories won’t last forever, so I appreciate them. But going to the bathroom in peace on a ship feels like luxury.

Needing a break doesn’t make you a bad mom… it makes you a sane one. But are we really sane? Every school project is somehow done at 10PM the night before it’s due. But a little chaos and creativity get it done, and my oldest is going to college, so I guess it paid off.

Anyways, parents… take the cruise and thank me later. You need this! 🚢✨
